Weekly Mindfulness/Shamatha Meditation, Sundays, 10:30AM

PLEASE NOTE that the Sunday morning meditation group is currently on hiatus.

This is an opportunity for both beginning and experienced meditators to practise in a group setting. We will follow the schedule as outlined below and people are encouraged to come for as much of the session as they would like to be a part of. Instruction is available for anyone wishing to learn the basics of meditation.

  • 10:30-10:40 Opening prayers and mantras
  • 10:40-11:00 Sitting meditation
  • 11:00-11:10 Walking meditation
  • 11:10-11:30 Sitting meditation
  • 11:30 Dedication and open time for discussion and/or questions

If you are new to meditation, please try to come 5 or 10 minutes early and one of our more experienced members will be happy to provide an introduction. We also encourage you to read the introductory meditation instructions written for us by our teacher, Zasep Rinpoche. For more information, please use our contact page.

In the event that a session may need to be cancelled, advance notification will be sent out via an e-mail to the Gaden Chöling email mailing list (to subscribe, send us a request) and via an advance posting on the front page of the Gaden Chöling website.
