Ganesha Initiation on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 PM
Rinpoche is only in Toronto for a short visit this time, but we are fortunate that he has agreed to offer a very special initiation that many of us have not received before.
Ganesha is the god of prosperity, love, removal of obstacles, art, and countless qualities. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Uma Devi, the baby brother of six armed Mahakala, and the father of Dharma Protectors in Tibet. As a deity, Ganesha creates a bridge between humans and animals. He helps us realize there is not much difference between humans and animals in terms of love and Buddha nature. Ganesha brings harmony between Hindus and Buddhists. All four sects of Tibetan Buddhist worship him and there may forms of Ganesha. Rinpoche received Ganesha initiation from his beloved Guru Rongtha Kyabgon Rinpoche. Requested donation: $40 for members of Gaden Choling/$50 for non-members. As a special request, please arrive by at least 6:45 PM so that you can register and take your seat before the initiation begins.
