New Course "The Buddhist Path of Ethics, Concentration and Wisdom" in January

Rinpoche has asked our friend and community teacher Chuck Damov to return once again to GC this winter and lead a special weekly course on the Buddhist path to Liberation as it is presented in the 5th century Visuddhimagga by Buddhaghosa. This course will present the 3 principal paths of Buddhist theory and practice: ethics, mindful concentration and understanding the ultimate nature of self and reality. The format will be lecture, discussion and guided meditation. This course will run Tuesdays between January 12 and March 2, 7-9pm, and is open to everyone.

Rinpoche has suggested that in conjunction with this course we read as a group 'The Meditator's Atlas' by Matthew Flickstein. Please let us know if you are interested in this, and we can make a group order of the book. Suggested donations are $10 a class, though students, the under-employed and seniors may pay what they can.

Please visit the course's webpage here for more information.
