GADEN TASHI CHOLING RETREAT 2008
1. SinghaMuka Lion Faced Dakini July 11 - 20, 2008
This will be a retreat including work party. There are many tasks requiring completion at the Gompa.
There will be SinghaMuka Initiation on July 12, the retreat will start on July 11th at 7pm and will finish on July 20th at 12noon.
The retreat will include, initiation and sadhana practice with mantra recitation, meditation, and commentary.
We will practice morning and evening and work in the middle of the day.
The schedule will be as follows:
Morning meditation 6:30-8am,
breakfast 8-9am,
work 9-1pm,
lunch andd karma yoga,
teaching 3-4:30pm,
practice 5-6pm,
dinner 6-7:30pm,
practice 7:30-9pm.
We will be cooking our own food for this retreat. We will do this and other chores during Karma Yoga each day.
SinghaMuka the Lion Faced Dakini is a healing practice and is a yiddam of all four lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. SinghaMuka is the special secret heart yiddam of Lama TsongKhappa. The benefits of this practice include, healing, exorcism, getting rid of negative forces, overcoming black magic and curses. SinghaMuka is an emanation of Tara. SinghaMuka is also practiced in the Hindu tradition.
As you all know our retreats including accomodation usually cost $100 per day. This retreat will cost $50 per day and no charge for accomodation, meals will be included. The reason for the fee change is that we will all do four hour work per day
The fee for the full retreat will be $400.

2. Chittamani Tara Self Initiation Retreat Oct 31-Nov 9, 2008
Rinpoche will offer teachings and commentary of
Chittamani Tara Self Initiation and will lead participants
in the practice of Chittamani Tara Self Initiation
This is a very rare and special opportunity.
Doing self initiation purifies broken commitments and brings
practitioners closer to Chittamani Tara
Those who have completed the Chittamani Tara retreat of 100, 000
Chittamani Tara mantras 10,000 wisdom shower mantras and fire puja are welcome to attend.
If you have not done the mantra retreat of Chittamani Tara, 100,000 Chittamani Tara mantra, 10,000 Wisdom Shower mantra and fire puja, you need to do it before you are qualified to do the Chittamani Tara Self Initiation Retreat
The fee will be $650 for the full retreat.
Accommodation will cost $25 per night.
Please bring everything you need to do self initiation, everything you need to set up your table (we have tables, mats, cushions)
